Book Review: My stand on Heart of Bullets

“Heart of Bullets” by Nikhil Khushwala is a story of the struggle and sacrifices made by the soldier to protect the motherland. The tale of heroism and brotherhood, a tale of love and betrayal.

The story revolves around two childhood best friend Sam and Arpan. It’s about the twists and turns that they face in their life and yet keeping the bond of their friendship and love alive they faced the struggles of life. It’s about the choices that Arpan makes when Sam is hit by bullet.

The one liners of the story makes the reader hooked to book. The poem written are beautifully penned down that it makes interesting to read the story ahead.

The author has made quite good attempt for building a strong plot but the story in middle diverts form the life of soldier to the teenage love and then to a tragic filmy end with was a bit unreal.

The style of writing and the usage of words adds marvel to the story. The patriotism explained and the wars that have been carved so lively that it flashes before you as you read. The story with a moral of strong relationship bond is worth read.

Overall Rating: 4/5
